Oyo State Governor Appoints Salawu As Deputy Rector, Polytechnic Ibadan

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has appointed Mrs Salawu Olaide Oluwatoyin as the Deputy Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

This was stated in a statement released by the university signed by Mogaji Soladoye Adewole, the public relations officer, and the registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale.

Following Mrs. Salawu’s election in October of last year and the state government’s subsequent confirmation on January 10, 2024, she was appointed as the institution’s deputy rector

“Following your victory at the Deputy Rectorship election held on Wednesday, 25 October, 2023, along with ratification of same by the Board of Studies and approval by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology on behalf of the Governor of Oyo State vied a letter with Reference Number C.2479/36 dated 10th January, 2024, I am pleased to convey your appointment as the Deputy Rector of the institution for a tenure of two(2) years,” the statement noted.

The appointment is effective retroactively as on November 1, 2023, and it expires on October 31, 2025.

After Mrs. Olubunmi Olubamiwa, the previous Deputy Rector, finished her two terms of office, the position became vacant.
