Police Arrest Father of 10 For Attempting to Use Son for Ritual in Ogun State

Police have apprehended 50-year-old Beninese farmer and father of 10, Poni Bada left Nigeria with his unsuspecting nine-year-old son who was intended to be used for ritual.

The plan had been between Bada and three of his friends who liaised with a herbalist. The herbalist demanded N100k and a child. The other 3 raised the N100k and he volunteered his son for the ritual.

Upon interrogation, the culprits revealed that they planned to do the ritual so as to get rich.

The boy was saved as the herbalist played them, got the N100k and invited the police.

“The agreement was for him to give us out of what would come out of the process. When we handed the money to the herbalist, he picked up his phone and called someone. To our surprise, the next thing we saw were policemen.” One of the culprits said.

The three other men were Ige Koselu, Benjamin Balovi, and Segun Shile who accompanied the farmer to the herbalist’s home in the Owode area of Ogun State, where the money ritual was to be carried out.

All the while they were with the herbalist negotiating on how to kill the boy, the innocent boy was there and did not even know he was about to be used for rituals.

Acting on information, a team of policemen from the Zone 2 Command, Onikan Lagos, stormed the herbalist’s shrine and effected the arrest of all the suspects, while the would-be sacrificial lamb was rescued.

When interrogated, the father said “The situation of things is too bad for me. I could not feed my children. I then decided to use my last child, Agbe, for a money ritual, so that I could train the other children and have better living conditions”
