Police Arrest Vandal Caught in the Act on Carter Bridge

A man identified as Mastru Mutairu was arrested by officers of the Ebute-ero Division of the Nigerian Police Force in the early hours of Wednesday, June 14, 2023, for vandalizing bridge railings on Carter Bridge. The police were alerted to the scene by a motorist who spotted the vandal in the act. The officers moved quickly and were able to catch Mutairu red-handed. He attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by the police.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist them in their investigation. Vandalism of public infrastructure is a serious crime that can endanger lives and cause significant damage to public property. The police have assured members of the public that they will do everything in their power to bring those responsible for the vandalism to justice.
