POLICE DETAINS FAMOUS SINGER HARRYSONG
The Lagos State Police Command has seized Harrison Tare Okiri, better known by his stage name Harrysong, a well-known singer, composer, and musician from Nigeria.
The musician was arrested on Tuesday, at Lagos Airport, just after arriving in Nigeria. Following a petition that Nigerian music producer and artist manager Soso Soberekon wrote to the Inspector General of Police IGP, Usman Baba-Alkali.
In a recent interview, Harrysong said that Soso was his enemy and that he wanted to have him assassinated in Port Harcourt.
Soberekon responded to the accusation by threatening Harrysong with legal action on his Instagram page. And asked for the remark to be retracted, an apology, and N500,000,000 in damages.
Soberekon continued, “In actuality, I always mind my own business, stay in my lane and put smiles on people’s faces.it is very disappointing that Harrysong will make such a false, reckless and defamatory statement.”
Confirming the incident, the police public Relations Officer simply said Harrysong is currently in our custody.
