Portable Arrested by Lagos Police Over Alleged G-Wagon Debt

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, following allegations of defaulting on payment for a G-Wagon he purchased from a car dealer in the state.

According to reports from Daily Post, Portable was taken into custody on Tuesday after purportedly failing to settle the outstanding debt incurred during the purchase of the luxury vehicle. Sources indicate that Portable had initially paid N13 million for the G-Wagon, valued at N27 million, leaving a balance of N14 million unpaid.

The car dealer, aggrieved by the non-payment of the remaining sum, escalated the matter to law enforcement authorities, resulting in Portable’s arrest.

Confirming the development, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, affirmed the arrest, stating, “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
