Remo Economic Industrial Cluster is Economically Viable -RemoGDF

The Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF) has commended the Ogun State Governor; Prince Dapo Abiodun for establishing the Remo Economic Development Cluster.

 

The Chairman of the Foundation, Otunba Seni Adetu made this known when he led the Governing Council members of the Remo Growth and Development Foundation on a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Governor in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday, 18th April 2024.

Adetu noted that the Economic Cluster is one of the most economically viable locations in the state and the country as a whole, saying that the location of the cluster also serves as a link between Southern and the Northern parts of the country. Adetu, while commending Governor Dapo Abiodun for his leadership qualities, said that the Gateway International Airport Project along the Iperu – Ilishan Remo road is a huge game changer that would transform the economic landscape of Remoland and the state as a whole.

Otunba Adetu thereafter took time to recap the role of Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF) and solicited Ogun State Government’s support for the Foundation’s key 2024 initiatives, including the activation of some Vocational Centres in the State to help with Youth Skills Acquisition, Security Funding and the Promotion of “One Remo” through the organization of the 1st ever Remo Day 2024.

 

In his remarks, His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON highlighted the several infrastructure projects ongoing and planned for Remoland. His Excellency, Dapo Abiodun emphasized the significance of infrastructure in the overall development of the State. Governor Dapo Abiodun also assured he would carry RemoGDF Leadership along in the listing of future road projects to be constructed in Remoland.

 

Governor Dapo Abiodun further gave insight on the complementary projects associated with the Gateway International Airport; the approval of Remoland Free Trade Zone and the realization that Ogun State is the safest State in the Country. His Excellency, Dapo Abiodun assured the new leadership of the RemoGDF Governing Council of the full support and collaboration of his office. On the youth Vocational Centres, he promised that Ogun State Government would set up a liaison team that will work with RemoGDF.

 

Other Governing Council members in attendance were; Col. Dele Oyefuga (Retd.), 2nd Vice Chairman, Mr. Ola Oresanya, (Head, Trade, Investment, Infrastructure and Government Relations), Mr. Jide Ogunkoya, Esq., Membership & General Secretary, Dr. Opeyemi Agbato, (Head, Agriculture & Rural Development), and Prince Adekunle Soile, Ag. General Manager (Secretariat), RemoGDF.
