Remo North LG Inaugurates 16 Man Committee for Palliative Distribution, Monitoring 

 

 

Inline with the mandate given by the Ogun State Governor; His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun that all the 20 Local Government Chairmen inaugurate its local government committee members, the Remo North Local Government has inaugurated its committee.

 

The committee would be responsible for the distribution and monitoring of the FG/OGSG palliatives supplied by the Federal Government to all the 36 States including Abuja to cushion the effect of subsidy removal on premium motor spirit by the Federal Government.

The inauguration of the Remo North Local Government committee members which took place at the Chairman’s Conference Room, Remo North Local Government Secretariat in Isara Remo, Ogun State, has the Executive Chairman of Remo North; Prince (Hon.) Adedapo Odunsi as Chairman, former Governor’s Liaison Officer; Alhaji (Omo’ba) Abiola Ogundeko as Secretary, Member, representing Remo North at the Ogun State House of Assembly; Hon. Kola Awolaja, the Deputy Leader, Remo North Local Government Legislative Council; Hon. Oluwaseyi Esho and the Secretary to the Local Government; Remo North Local Government; Mr Olayinka Babajide Ajayi.

 

Other members of the committee are; representative of the Remo North Local Government Traditional Council; Prince Gbemisola Obadeyi, Head, Baale In-Council, Remo North Local Government; Baale Sosanwo Sotade, Baale Imagbon, Isara Remo; Baale Sunday Osiyemi, representative of Olorituns, Remo North Local Government; Chief Fatai Adekoya Idowu, representatives of the Zonal CDC, Remo North Local Government; Mr. Abdulahi Rasheed Olaolawale and Omo’ba Tai Olufemi Ajayi, representative of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Remo North Local Government; Venerable Oyetade, representatives of the League of Imams and Alfas, Remo North Local Government; Alhaji Sanni Ireyemi, Imam Ambali Opafola, Iyaloja, Isara Remo; Alhaja Taibat Akinyemi and the representative of Remo North Local Government Youths; Comrade Yaya Onagbesan.

 

The terms of reference for the committee includes the sharing of the palliative items to the needy/less privileged across the towns in Remo North Local Government, adoption of the CDCs arrangement through various CDA’s, consideration of the palliative items going through the Royal Highnesses, Baales, Olorituns, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), League of Imams and Alfas, Traditional Worshippers/Isese, CDAs and Youth Associations.

 

The committee members were also charged to submit the list of potential beneficiaries from each town on or before Wednesday, 13th September 2023.
