Remo Stars Win 2024 Value Jet Cup
The 2024 Value Jet Cup Final was a tough encounter between Remo Stars and Ikorodu City, with Remo Stars emerging victorious with a 2-1 win. The game began with high intensity, with both teams fighting for victory.
Remo Stars scored the first goal in the 26th minute, courtesy of Seth Mayi’s calm header from Ibrahim Abubakar’s cross. Mayi doubled the lead in the 68th minute, slotting the ball into an empty net after the goalkeeper’s save from Dela Akorli’s shot.
Ikorodu City pulled one back through Otaniyi Taofeek’s fine header, making the scoreline 2-1. The game intensified in extra time, with two members of Remo Stars’ coaching crew receiving red cards from the referee.
Remo Stars were crowned champions of the 2024 Value Jet Cup, taking home the grand prize of N5 million. Ikorodu City, the runners-up, received N2.5 million.
