RemoGDF Meets with Remo Traditional Council, Traditional Rulers to Discuss Remo Day 2024

A crucial meeting took place today, July 31st, 2024, at the Ita Oba Palace of Akarigbo, Remoland, as the executives of Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF) led by Chairman Otunba Seni Adetu and other Excos met with the Remo Traditional Council and all the traditional rulers in Remoland. The meeting was focused on discussing the proposed Remo Day 2024.

The RemoGDF delegation presented the concept of Remo Day to the traditional rulers, emphasizing that without their support, the event cannot be a success. Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, another Executive member of the organization, was also present during the meeting.

The Akarigbo, HRM Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, appreciated the RemoGDF for their efforts in planning the event and expressed his hope to bring great people to the event slated for December 27th, 2024.

 

Representing the youths was comrade Bidemi Solarin, the newly elected Chairman of Remo Youth Association, appreciated the Remo GDF for bringing youths on board.

Engr Wole Ogunsanya a chairman of one the committees thanked the traditional rulers for their assent and support for the proposed epic event.

In attendance were several royal fathers from various parts of Remoland, including HRH Oba Adewale Osiberu, Elepe of Epe Kingdom; HRH Oba Timothy Akinsanya Orungba XI, Ewusi of Makun; HRH Oba Soile Radanuwa of Idado; HRH Oba Taiwo Taiwo Onipara of Ipara; HRH Oba Nurein Oduwaiye Onifogege of Fojege; HRM Oba Lasisi Ginsanrin Odofin of Sonyindo; HRH Oba Timothy Taiwo Onifogege of Ikenne; HRH Alakenne of Ikenne; Oselu of Okeselu; Ologijo of Ogijo; and many others.

 

The meeting is a significant step towards making Remo Day 2024 a memorable event that will showcase the rich cultural heritage and potential of Remoland.
