Remonians, Nigerians Celebrates as Anthony Joshua Return to Winning Ways Against American Jermaine Franklin
The Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Joshua, is finally back to winning ways after he overcame American fighter Jermaine Franklin in a 12-round bout Saturday night at the O2 Arena.
Joshua won Franklin by unanimous decision scores of 118-111 and 117-111 (twice) at the O2 Arena, London. This was Joshua’s first fight without a world title attached in the past seven years.
Franklin, 29, an American boxer, holds an impressive 21-1 record. He suffered his first career defeat to Dillian Whyte through a majority decision last November. Tonight’s is his second defeat.
This victory by AJ brought celebration to Remonians and Nigerians, as they believe this is a good way for him to return to winning ways. Speculations are beginning to linger as they believe Anthony Joshua is ready to fight with Wilder or Fury.
