SACKED CSO COLLIDES WITH THIEVES TO ATTACK FORMER COMPANY

Atleast 5 persons believed to be robbers have been arrested in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State for looting a company at Sango Ota.

Upon interrogation, it was discovered that they had been hired by a former Chief Security Officer of the company to Carry out the attack as a way of getting revenge on his previous Boss.

The former CSO, whose name was not disclosed was reportedly relieved of his duty about three months ago, ran away after the robbers he reportedly hired were arrested.

Speaking to Newsmen,The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects; Umar Haruna; Abbah Yahaya; Muritala Umar; Wale Fadeyi, and Segun Olofinmade were arrested following a tip-off.

Oyeyemi said the suspects were nabbed following a distress call received by policemen at Sango divisional headquarters at about 12:30 midnight.

“On sighting the policemen, the hoodlums who came with a Mitsubishi Canter bus with registration number LSR 414 YF took to their heels but, they were chased and five amongst them were apprehended while others escaped.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the robbery incident was masterminded by the former Chief Security officer of the company who was relieved of his duty about three months ago.

“Recovered from them are a Mitsubishi Canter bus loaded with ten motor engines and cutlasses.”

The case has been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Departments for discreet investigation and subsequent apprehension of the fleeing Mastermind.
