The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has paid tribute to the late Alhaja Mujeedat Abeke Ogunnaike, describing her as more than a mother, a guiding light, a political icon, and a woman whose impact transcended generations.
In a touching message, Odulate referred to her fondly as “Ye Folabi” and highlighted her remarkable contributions not only to Sagamu but to the entire Ogun State political landscape.
“Ye Folabi, as I fondly call you, you were more than a mother, you were a guiding light to all. A revered political leader, not just in Sagamu, but across Ogun State,” he said.
He went on to acknowledge her enduring influence, wisdom, and spiritual strength, which he said would remain with him forever. “Your wisdom, your teachings, and your prayers will forever remain with me. You will be remembered, deeply and dearly,” he added.
Closing his tribute, the Chairman bade her farewell with a solemn message: “Safe journey, Mummy. Rest well, Alhaja Mujeedat Abeke Ogunnaike.”
The late Alhaja was widely respected for her leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to community development. Her legacy continues to inspire both political leaders and the people she served.
