Sagamu LG Reinstates Itesiwaju International Market Executives After Deliberations
Sagamu Local Government has reinstated the suspended executives of the Itesiwaju International Market, Ogijo, following days of deliberation and engagements with all parties involved.
The leadership of the market, led by Chairman Alhaji Usman AbdulRahman, visited the office of the Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, on Monday for official recognition. During the visit, the delegation expressed appreciation to the government for the opportunity to return to their duties, acknowledging the issues that prompted their suspension.
They assured the council of their readiness to operate strictly in line with market policies, guidelines, and administrative regulations.
Odulate emphasized the need for mutual respect, order, and accountability in market administration, noting that the development of the Itesiwaju International Market remains a collective responsibility. He also expressed confidence that the reinstated executives would demonstrate improved cooperation in the interest of Ogijo residents and the wider Sagamu Local Government.
The chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering a harmonious working relationship with all market stakeholders.
