Sagamu Traders Lament Low Sales, Blames Federal Government, CBN
A few days ago, the supreme Court gave a ruling that the old Naira notes should be spent alongside the new redesigned notes until 31st December 2023.
In sabo, sagamu, people gave the complaint of collecting the old notes and unable to spend it back which has in a way hindered their business.
An interview with a trader in the market said, “we collected the old notes a few days ago from the time Supreme court gave the ruling, but getting to the market today, people refused to collect it saying the Federal government and the CBN governor did not address the issue making them to stop collecting the old notes.
Traders and people of sagamu hence plead with the Federal government of and CBN to address the issue of old Naira notes.
