Senator Gbenga Daniel Denies Rift with Governor Abiodun

Senator Gbenga Daniel, who represents Ogun East in the National Assembly, has denied reports of a rift between him and Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State. In an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily program, Daniel said he has no issue or any major disagreement with the incumbent governor.

The perceived rift might have emanated from the last governorship election in the state, which was keenly contested by Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Daniel said that some people in the state have accused him of not supporting Abiodun in his re-election bid but supporting Bola Tinubu to win the 2023 presidential election. However, he denied these claims and stated that he has no issues with the governor. The former governor also said that he is committed to the development of Ogun State and will continue to support initiatives that will benefit the people.

This statement from Senator Daniel is a welcome development as it puts to rest the rumors of a rift between him and Governor Abiodun. It is important for political leaders to work together for the good of the people and to put aside any personal differences they may have.
