The Spanish club overcame Roma on penalties following a 1-1 draw, with En-Nesyri scoring the winning penalty. The victory marks Sevillas’ seventh Europa League trophy, maintaining their record of not losing in the final of the competition.

Roma took the lead in the 35th minute through a goal from Paulo Dybala, but Sevillas fought back with a goal from Ivan Rakitic early in the second half. An own goal from Gianluca Mancini gave Sevillas the lead, but Roma equalized in the 73rd minute through a goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The game went to penalties, with Sevillas winning 4-2 after En-Nesyri scored the decisive penalty.
