SEYI VIBEZ: HIGH RISING NIGERIAN MUSICIAN

Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi (Seyi Vibez) is a Nigerian artist and songwriter. He is best known for his breakthrough single “Chance (Na Ham)” from his second studio album Billion Dollar Baby which debuted at No. 19 on the UK Afrobeats singles chart and peaked number 7 on the TurnTable Top 100 chart.

Seyi Vibez was born on 12 July 2000 in Ketu, Lagos State, where he spent his early childhood before moving to Ikorodu, Lagos State, where he grew up.
Seyi Vibez debuted in 2019 with his single “Anybody”.

He first gained popularity in 2021, following the release of his single “Godsent”.
The same year he released his debut studio album No Seyi No Vibez (NSNV). His second studio album Billion Dollar Baby with the Mixtape “Billion Dollar Baby 2.0” was released in 2022, the album peaked number 1 on the Turntable 50 albums chart. Same year he was cited as one of the 16 African artistes to watch by MoreBranches.

Seyi Vibez released his first EP “Memory Card” on January 6, 2023, featuring a guest appearance from American rapper YXNG K.A. The EP received over 6.30 million streams in its first week, with four tracks dominating the Turntable Top 10 chart. It was also listed as one of the top 10 albums of January 2023 by Pan African Music.
Seyi Vibez performed at the BWUSFEST festival alongside the artists Black Sheriff and Asake on January 9, 2023. On February 2, 2023, Zlatan’s song “Let There Be Light,” featuring Seyi Vibez debuted at No. 14 on the Apple Music top 100 Nigeria chart.
In September 2023, At the 16th Headies Award, Seyi Vibez won the Best Street-Hop Artiste with his “Chance (Na Ham)”.
