Skiibii Reveals Asake Was His Dancer Before Stardom

Nigerian singer, Skiibii, has revealed that Asake, the ‘Amapiano’ crooner, was his dancer before his musical career skyrocketed. Skiibii disclosed this during his appearance on the latest episode of the Afrobeats podcast hosted by British-Nigerian media personality, Shopsydoo. According to him, Asake used to travel with him to shows and stay with him during the early days of his career. Skiibii also pointed out that Asake is a talented dancer and was a theatre performer while studying at Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ife, Osun State.

Skiibii further revealed that Asake can dance and that he has videos on his phone to prove it. He said that Asake was with him when he dropped his hit song ‘Sensima’ and that he accompanied him everywhere. Skiibii also noted that Asake’s success is just the beginning, and that people haven’t seen anything yet. He said that Asake’s talent goes beyond just singing, and that he is a multi-talented artist who can dance and perform on stage.

Asake, whose real name is Ahmed Ololade, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer. He came into the limelight in 2020 with his hit song ‘Mr Money’ and has since released other hit songs such as ‘Don’t Hype Me’ and ‘Yan Yan’. His music is a fusion of different genres, including Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Highlife.
