Team Ogun win 11 medals in the ongoing sports festival in Asaba

Team Ogun has continued to shine at the ongoing 21st National Sports Festival in Asaba, with 11 medals. As of the time of gathering this report, Team Ogun has won six medals with one each in cycling, darts, and para powerlifting.

Team Ogun had three gold medals in para table tennis with one silver in cycling, one bronze in darts and one silver, and one bronze in para table tennis with one silver in Scrabble, totaling 11 medals.

Jimoh Irawo and Latifat Tijani lived up to expectations to remain the best in their respective events in the country.

Ogun State’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, was optimistic that the athletes would surpass their previous performances at Edo 2020 given their awe-inspiring form and their wealth of experience,
adding “many of them have represented the nation before now”.
