TWO FEARED DEAD AS UNKNOWN GUNMEN ATTACK POLICE STATION IN OYO

The Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, has confirmed an attack on the Igangan Police station in Ibarapa North Local Government Are of Oyo state.

The attack which took place last night claimed the life of the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) while another suspect who was in police Custody was also repeatedly shot dead.

According to information obtained from a senior police officer who pleaded anonymity, as a result of the severity of the Incident, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, an Inspector and some suspects were on a danger list as a result of gunshot wounds they sustained.

When asked about the details of the attack, the PPRO, SP Adewale Osifeso, said “The Commissioner of Police, CP, is on his was to the place. We are already in Oke Ogun as we speak. I will get back to you when we get there.”
