VENERABLE TOLULOPE AYODELE AKINWANDE MARKS 5OTH BIRTHDAY WITH THANKSGIVING SERVICE TODAY

The Venerable Tolulope Ayodele AKINWANDE, the esteemed Archdeacon of Iperu Archdeaconry and Vicar of St. James’ Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, will today 7th November, 2025, celebrate his 50th birthday with a profound Thanksgiving Service. The event, themed “Celebrating God’s Grace and Mercy at 50,” underscores a life dedicated to faith, service, and community transformation within the Anglican Communion.
The service is scheduled for 10:00am at St. James’ Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, and will be graced by distinguished ecclesiastical leaders, including The Most Rev. Dr. Michael Olusina FAPE, Bishop of Remo Diocese and Archbishop of the Lagos Ecclesiastical Province, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). The Archbishop, a renowned theologian and scholar with over 25 publications, will join other Remo Anglican clergy in a collective expression of gratitude for Venerable AKINWANDE’s exemplary ministry.
The celebrant will be warmly joined by his beloved family, including his wife, Mrs. Oluwabusayomi Temidayo AKINWANDE, and their children; close friends; professional associates; and members of his congregations past and present. The gathering promises to be a joyous reflection on five decades of divine favour, marked by pioneering church plants, evangelism outreaches, and leadership in Christian discipleship, youth ministry, and social justice initiatives.
Born on November 7, 1975, in Ilaro, Ogun State, Venerable AKINWANDE’s journey from a faith-nurtured childhood in Ipokia to his current role, exemplifies a steady, commitment to God’s call. Ordained in 2004, he has served faithfully across Egba and Remo Dioceses, fostering spiritual, numerical, physical, and financial growth in every parish. His academic pursuits, including a Ph.D. in Christian Ethics (in view) from Crowther Graduate Theological Seminary, further highlight his scholarly dedication to the Gospel.
