WCGLF Donates Books, Other Materials to Itire Primary School

On Monday, the Women and Children Global Life Foundation (WCGLF), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), donated writing materials to the pupils of Itire Primary School, Lagos State.
WCGL is an organisation registered with the state government with a focus on women and children support to ensure good social development.
The presentations were made during the foundation’s flagship programme tagged “School Attendance Awareness Month” also known as the “Back to School Programme”.
Speaking during the donation, the Director of the NGO, Alhaja Ganiyat Olabisi-Oyeniyi, stated that everyone should be concerned about children’s education.
Olabisi-Oyeniyi noted that the organisation, as a member of the Child Protection Network, is in the business of ensuring quality education of children, to visualise a better future for them.
“Our mission is to find out how mentally prepared are the teachers, pupils and parents for the just begun academic session.
“The session will enable us to have knowledge of areas that need aids or assistance, to enable us to get the best out of the session for improved children’s education.
In her remark, the headmistress of the school, Hafseh Bakare-Abiola, said that the staff members were prepared and alert to their responsibilities.
Bakare-Abiola said that a lot of monitoring systems had been put in place by the ministry such that teachers need not be forced to carry out their duties.
