West Ham United have won the Europa Conference League after a dramatic 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in the final in Prague. Jarrod Bowen scored the winner in the 90th minute, securing the title for the English club. The victory also assures West Ham a spot in next season’s Europa League.
However, the win could be overshadowed by the speculation that Declan Rice, one of West Ham’s key players, could be leaving the club. Rice has been linked with a move to a Champions League club in the summer transfer window.
The Europa Conference League is a competition for teams that finish outside of the Champions League and Europa League spots in their respective leagues. West Ham’s victory is a remarkable achievement for the club, which is known for its passionate fans but has not won a major trophy since the 1980 FA Cup.
