1km Ewu-Oluwo Road Construction Begins in Sagamu

Construction has commenced on a new one-kilometre Ewu-Oluwo Road in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, in a project facilitated by the member representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji.

The project, which was officially flagged off in the community, includes drainage channels on both sides of the road and is aimed at improving accessibility and addressing water management challenges in the area.

Representing the lawmaker at the flag-off ceremony, Madam Kemi Johnson said the project was initiated in response to concerns raised by residents over the condition of the road.

She said the new road would improve movement, support businesses and contribute to economic activities within the community.

“This project is a response to the concerns of our people and another step towards improving infrastructure within our constituency,” Johnson said.

Residents, business owners and commuters in the Ewu-Oluwo community expressed appreciation for the commencement of the project, describing the road as an important route for movement and commercial activities.

One of the residents said the community had long been seeking intervention, expressing optimism that the project would improve accessibility and ease movement.

A local business owner also welcomed the inclusion of drainage channels, saying the infrastructure would help improve transportation and support commercial activities within the area.

According to the lawmaker’s representative, the project reflects efforts to identify developmental needs within the constituency and facilitate interventions that directly benefit residents.

Hon. Elegbeji reaffirmed her commitment to facilitating development projects across Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North, while appreciating residents, community leaders and other stakeholders for their cooperation.

The construction of the Ewu-Oluwo Road is expected to improve connectivity and access within the community upon completion.
