Re-Opening of Banks in Sagamu: Akarigbo's Representatives Meets With Stanbic IBTC Management

On Friday, 24th March, 2023, a delegation of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, (Torungbuwa II), the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland met with the management of Stanbic-IBTC at the company’s corporate headquarters, Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos to deliver a royal message in the quest to re-open commercial banking activities in Sagamu.

The Akarigbo’s royal delegation to Stanbic-IBTC corporate headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos was led by Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin, Chairman, RemoGDF. Other members of the delegation were; Mr. Jide Ogunkoya, Esq., Engr. Wole Ogunsanya, Engr. Wale Fayemi, Mr. Sammy Ogunjimi and Engr. (Olootu) Oyekanmi Oduguwa.

The delegation from His Royal Majesty, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland were warmly received by the Group Managing Director, Stanbic-IBTC, Mr. Dayo Sogunle to the corporate headquarters at Victoria Island, Lagos. Also in attendance from Stanbic-IBTC management were; Mr. Wole Adeniyi, Managing Director, Stanbic-IBTC and Mrs. Bunmi Dayo-Olagunju, Executive Director, Operations, Stanbic-IBTC.

The royal message of the Grand Patron of RemoGDF, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, (Torungbuwa II), Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland was presented to the Group Managing Director, Stanbic-IBTC Plc, Mr. Dayo Sogunle by the leader of the royal delegation, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin.

In his remarks, the Group Managing Director, Stanbic-IBTC Plc, Mr. Dayo Sogunle appreciated the visit by the delegation of His Royal Majesty, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland.

Mr. Dayo Sogunle informed the royal delegation that, Stanbic-IBTC is so passionate about Remoland and committed to a sustainable business development in Remoland. He mentioned to the royal delegation that, they have been enjoying the business patronage from corporate organizations and individuals in Sagamu and Remoland in general. And, the royal message have helped them to reinforce their confidence in staying in Sagamu, Remoland.

In addition to his remarks, Mr. Dayo Sogunle made it known that, they will not leave Sagamu, Remoland, but they will throughly follow their internal process to re-open their branch in Sagamu very soon.

He thanked the royal delegation for the visit and promised to get more involved in the activities of Akarigbo Corporate In-Council.
