The Itesiwaju Omu Arogun Area Community Development Committee (ACDC) in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State organized a security summit to combat crime and social ills in the community. The summit was aimed at enlightening community members on how to live peacefully and be security conscious. The summit was held opposite Arigbawonwo junction and was well-attended by representatives from the 16 communities in the area.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Mowe Police Station, CSP Folakemi Afeniforo, spoke at the summit, urging community members to be security conscious and cooperate with their leaders and security agencies to end crime in the community. The Zonal Commander for Vigilante Service of Ogun State, ‘So Safe’ Corp, Owode Egba Division, Jimoh Razak, also spoke at the summit, urging community members to pay their security levies.

The ACDC chairman, Mr Yemi Adebisi, used the opportunity to seek the intervention of the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, over the bad state of a road in the community. Adebisi decried the deplorable state of the Mowe-Ofada Road and called for urgent action by the state government.
