ITF Ogun Trained Over 300,000 Youths In Different Skills Since 2013–ITF Boss

During a courtesy visit by Area Manager/Deputy Director of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) in Ogun State, Mrs Bolanle Ajibade to Punch Place, the headquarters of Punch Nigeria Limited in Magboro, Ogun State, ITF revealed it has trained over 300,000 youths through its skills acquisition centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State and learnt various skills in the last 10 years.

On the visit which took place on thursday, Ajibade was accompanied by the Head of Audit, Jimba Victoria; Head of Finance and Acoounts, Oyedokun Solomon; Head of Training, Akinbola Oluwatosin; Head of Revenue, Inspectorate and Compliance, Olaniyan Samuel; and Head of Admin, Eluyemi Muyiwa.

While speaking on the success stories of the ITF in the 52 years of its existence, Ajibade said, “Besides human capital development, we have all over Nigeria 40 area offices and five skills centres, which cut across the entire nation.

“This exercise started in 2013 and it’s been on every year. In Abeokuta alone, we have trained about 300, 000 youths since the inception of the skills intervention programme.

“The ITF has been involved in training all over and incidentally, Ogun State has always been given preference.”

Ajibade said the ITF now offers subsidised training fees to encourage companies to engage the ITF for the training of their workforces.
