Chief Mrs. Aderonke Mercy Ajayi Installed as Iya Ewe of Obafemi Awolowo Memorial Anglican Church, Ikenne

On Friday, 18th August 2023, many people gathered for the momentous occasion of the installation ceremony of Mrs. Aderonke Mercy Ajayi as the Iya Ewe of the Obafemi Awolowo Memorial Anglican Church, Ikenne, Ogun state.

The installation service which held at the Obafemi Awolowo Memorial Anglican Church, Ikenne, Ogun State, had family and friends together as witnesses to the formal induction of the New Chief Mrs. Aderonke Ajayi, as she took on the responsibility of being a mother to the youth in faith, love, and service.

Speaking to the Archbishop of the Remo Diocese of the Anglican Church, The Most Rev. Dr. M. Olusina Tape, he said that it was a rare sight in the Remo Diocese for someone as young as Chief Mrs. Ajayi to be installed as chief. He, however, added that, based on the many things that she has done and contributed to the church so far, it comes as no surprise that she has received this honour.

Surrounded by other church faithfuls and friends, Chief Mrs. Ajayi and her family moved the celebration to Memorable Lounge and Hotel Ikenne for the reception. It was indeed a great day of joy and merriment.
