Ogun State Explores Agricultural Partnership to Boost Economy

Governor Dapo Abiodun on Thursday had a business investment meeting with Mr. segunawo who led the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), Mr. Adeyemi of Starlink Global and Ideal Limited to the State office.

Their discussion centred on agricultural development in Ogun State. The company, whose focus is on the processing and exportation of agricultural commodities, is looking at establishing their presence in Ogun State and partnering with government in terms of cashew and cocoa development and processing in Ogun State. This would ensure food security, especially through cash crop production.

This is a further step that will provide sufficient job opportunities for unemployed youths, and also turn around a number of moribund, state-owned agricultural assets for optimal production and performance which will ultimately result in export of agricultural commodities produced in the Gateway State.
