Remo Methodist High School Celebrates 11th Inter-House Sports Competition in Sagamu

In a time of rejoicing, and sportsmanship, Remo Methodist High School on Friday, 1st of December, marked their 11th inter-house sports competition at the Methodist Theological Institute.

The event, which followed their 23rd Founders Day Anniversary, brought together ex-students, parents, and teachers in a day filled with excitement and friendly competition.

 

The day kicked off with heartfelt prayers from the school’s Chaplain, Mr. Jude, as everyone gathered to honor the country and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship. The students, filled with enthusiasm, participated in a vibrant March pass and engaged in various sporting activities throughout the day.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Lay President of the Diocese of Remo and the Chairman of the day, Sir Dr. & Mrs. Olumakinde Soname. Also in attendance were Education Secretary Mr. David Osidein, PTA Chairman Mr. Otunba Ayotunde Mayungbo, and the school’s Principal, Yeye Folashade Sosanwo.

After a day of spirited competition, the Green House emerged as the champions, proudly taking home the Gold trophy. The White House secured the second position, earning the Silver trophy and the accolade for the best March pass. The Blue House claimed the third spot, receiving the Bronze trophy, while the Wine House, affectionately known as the Bishops House, showcased their sportsmanship.

 

As the event came to a close, the Principal expressed gratitude to everyone who joined in the celebration and encouraged the students to continue pursuing their passions both in academics and sports. The parents were filled with joy and pride as they witnessed their children actively engaging in the various activities.

 

The 11th inter-house sports competition at Remo Methodist High School was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity, teamwork, and healthy competition among the students.
