Grand Celebration as Onijoku of Ijoku Marks 80th Birthday, 20th Coronation Anniversary

On Thursday, December 28th, 2023, the city of Sagamu was filled with joy and excitement as HRH Oba (ENGR.) Stephen Adewale Jibodu, known as the Onijoku of Ijoku, celebrated his 80th birthday and 20th coronation anniversary in grand style.

The day commenced with a special Thanksgiving service at the king’s residence, attended by family, friends, children, grandchildren, royalties, and notable dignitaries, including the Ogun State Commissioner for Special Duties, Olufunmilayo Efuwape.

The festivities continued at the Royal Haven hall, where a reception ceremony took place, with dignitaries from all walks of life coming to honor the revered king.

During an interview session, Princess Kemi Mayungbe, one of the daughters of HRH Oba Stephen Adewale Jibodu, expressed her admiration and love for her father. We are grateful for his wisdom, guidance, and the positive impact he has made in our lives.”
