Egbe Degbuyi Remo Empowers Students, Schools in Remoland Through Education Initiatives

Egbe Degbuyi Remo, the foremost socio-cultural age-grade group in Remoland, is making significant strides in boosting education in the community. As part of its core mandate of giving back to society, the group has sponsored the registration of several students for the upcoming West African Examinations Council’s Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC SSCE). Additionally, they have generously donated exercise books to primary schools in the zone.

 

The group’s commitment to social intervention initiatives aims to support education and uplift the less privileged in the immediate environment. Over the years, Egbe Degbuyi Remo has carried out similar interventions, including the donation of various food items, toiletries, beverages, and medical supplies to orphanages and health centers across Remoland. They have also contributed to community development programs and projects.

On Wednesday, January 24th, 2024, a special presentation ceremony will be held at the Revolution Restaurant, Lounge, and Park on the Sagamu/Benin Expressway. The event, scheduled to begin at 11 am, will feature the distribution of cheques to beneficiaries in support of the 2024 WAEC SSCE. Additionally, exercise books will be distributed to the deserving students and schools, further enhancing their educational journey.

The Projects Committee of Egbe Degbuyi Remo, led by Gbuyi Adekolapo Awosanya, who also serves as the Projects Secretary of the group, expressed their excitement about the upcoming event. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to students for their exams while equipping primary schools with essential learning materials. It is a testament to the group’s commitment to education and community development.
