Davido Announces Generous N300 Million Donation to Orphanages

Renowned Nigerian afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has declared a substantial donation of 300 million Naira to orphanages across Nigeria. The artist shared this philanthropic commitment on his X, formerly Twitter, handle on Tuesday. Davido, through his foundation, the David Adeleke Foundation, has been consistently contributing to orphanages on an annual basis.
In his tweet, Davido stated, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria… as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”
This generous act is not the first time Davido has extended support to foster homes in Nigeria. In November 2021, he donated N250 million to 292 orphanages in celebration of his 29th birthday. Similarly, in July 2023, the musician contributed N237 million to over 400 orphanages across the country, showcasing his ongoing commitment to charitable endeavors.
