Customs Returns Seized Grain Trucks to Rightful Owners

The Sokoto/Zamfara Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has returned 15 seized trucks of grains to their rightful owners. This announcement was made on Tuesday by Abdullahi Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer of the command.

Abubakar stated that the action was taken following orders from President Tinubu. It was reported earlier that President Tinubu had instructed the Customs to return all seized food items at the border to their owners. The condition set was that these items should be sold in Nigerian markets to help boost food availability.

Controller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, revealed that Tinubu’s decision was not based on legal guidelines but on his generous disposition towards Nigeria.
