Peseiro Declines Return to Super Eagles Coaching Role

Former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has firmly stated his lack of interest in returning to lead the Nigerian national team. Peseiro departed from his role after the expiration of his contract last month, dispelling any speculations about his potential comeback.

Expressing gratitude for his time with the team and acknowledging the talent of the players, Peseiro emphasized that his work with the Super Eagles is complete and that it’s time to pursue other projects.

During his 22-month tenure, Peseiro guided the team to a commendable second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
