382 Ogun Pilgrims Return Home After Hajj

The first batch of 382 pilgrims from Ogun State has returned to Nigeria after the completion of hajj rites in Saudi Arabia. The pilgrims arrived at Muritala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos on Thursday aboard Flynas flight XY7602. The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Salau Dauda, confirmed their arrival and expressed his gratitude to God for the safe and successful completion of the pilgrimage.

Salau commended Prince Dapo Abiodun for his efforts in ensuring a hitch-free operation and also thanked the pilgrims for their patience, perseverance, and tolerance during and after the exercise.

He implored the pilgrims to continue praying for the peace and tranquility of the State, the country, and the world at large. He also urged them to sustain the lessons learned during the pilgrimage, especially the other four pillars of Islam, as demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad.

Alhaji Lukmon Lamina and Alhaja Aminat Jubril, speaking on behalf of other pilgrims, expressed their gratitude to God for the journey’s mercy and appreciated the officials for their efforts, which made the pilgrimage seamless.

They also expressed their satisfaction with the overall organization and conduct of the exercise, stating that they had a fulfilling spiritual experience. The flight to convey the remaining pilgrims has been scheduled without any further delay.
