Nollywood Mourns the Tragic Passing of Actor Junior Pope, Who Drowned While Filming

The Nollywood community is reeling from the devastating news of actor Junior Pope Odonwodo’s untimely death. The actor reportedly drowned on Wednesday afternoon while on a boat trip for a film production.

AGN President Emeka Rollas has confirmed the passing of actor Junior Pope. This confirmation follows initial reports of his death by drowning, which were momentarily overshadowed by a viral video suggesting he was alive. Sadly, Junior Pope did not survive. Emeka Rollas revealed that while one other crew member’s body has been recovered, the bodies of three others remain missing.

In an Instagram post, AGN president wrote in sadness

“It’s so so sad that our joy was shortlived. My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers. Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail. God knows the best. We finally lost him. Mr. Friday’s corpse has been identified but three other corpses are yet to be found.”
