Ogun Youths Commended for Peaceful Conduct Amidst Nationwide Protests

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has commended the state’s residents, particularly youths and students, for their peaceful conduct during the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.

In a statement, Abiodun praised the absence of protests in the state, attributing it to the youths’ restraint and adherence to government advice against manipulation by disgruntled politicians.

The governor lauded the discipline and resolve of the state’s residents in maintaining peace and order, stating, “Your ability to stand firm in your convictions while maintaining order and respect is commendable. It is a reflection of the maturity and responsibility that our youth embody.”

Abiodun highlighted the significance of their actions in preventing the state from descending into chaos, saying, “By your actions, you did not allow hoodlums or any elements to turn our state into a war zone. This shows not only your strength in numbers but also your strength of character.”
