Police Arrests Security Guard, Burglar for Stealing Properties Worth N2 Million

 

 

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended a 27-year-old security guard, Samuel Paul, and a 20-year-old burglar, Mobarak Tesiu, for vandalizing and stealing properties valued at N2 million in the Moro area of Ogijo.

 

According to the command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the arrest was made on Monday at approximately 8:20 a.m. following a complaint from the house owner, Mr. Olabode Ayodele.

 

Ayodele reported that upon returning home, he discovered that unknown thieves had broken into his house and stolen irons and electrical wires valued at N2 million, with his security guard nowhere to be found. The investigating officers, led by DCO II, promptly sprang into action, apprehending Paul at his hiding place. During interrogation, Paul confessed to the crime and assisted in the arrest of Tesiu, the receiver of the stolen goods.

 

Several stolen items were recovered, and photographs were taken as evidence. The police spokesperson noted that investigations are ongoing to arrest other suspects who are currently at large.
