Ikorodu City Football Club has been left reeling after Head Coach Bright Ozebagbe tendered his resignation, effective immediately. The decision comes on the heels of the team’s dismal start to the 2024/25 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Ozebagbe’s tenure has been marked by struggles, with the team managing only one draw and suffering four defeats in their opening five matches. This dismal record has yielded a mere one point out of a possible 15.
The poor run of form has heaped pressure on the club, prompting Ozebagbe to step down. His departure leaves Ikorodu City searching for a new tactician to steer the team back on track.
