THREE POLICE OFFICERS KIDNAPPED BROAD DAYLIGHT IN OGUN

Yet-to-be-identified gunmen on Thursday the 22nd of August 2022 kidnapped three policemen at Wasinmi, in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun state.

According to reliable information, the kidnapped policemen were from Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos state and had arrived at Ogun prior to carrying out a discreet Investigation.

They were said to have been duly booked at the police division in Wasinmi before they left for their place of primary assignment. A police source told our correspondent that the officers, led by Inspector Oladipo Olayemi, were kidnapped on the road by their abductors, who allegedly accosted them at about 2:30 pm.

A search party led by the Divisional Police Officer in Ewekoro and his men has so far not yielded fruit. When contacted, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident, however, he said that though people were kidnapped, only one Policeman was involved
