Funeral Rites for Ex-Nasarawa Deputy Governor Solomon Ewuga Set to Begin.

The family of the late Senator Solomon Akku Ewuga has announced the schedule for his funeral rites. Senator Ewuga, a distinguished politician who served as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State and Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, passed away on September 23, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt, at the age of 70. He was a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District in the 7th National Assembly.The funeral arrangements will commence with a Night of Songs and Tributes on Thursday, October 30, 2025. This event is scheduled to hold at the De Rainbow Marque Events Centre in Garki, Abuja, starting at 4:00 p.m. The following day, a wake keep will take place at Senator Ewuga’s residence in Alushi, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, also beginning at 4:00 p.m. This event provides an opportunity for family, friends, and supporters to pay their respects.

 

The final burial ceremony is set for Saturday, November 1, 2025. It will take place at the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) in Alushi, beginning at 10:00 a.m. After the service, Senator Ewuga will be laid to rest. The arrangements reflect the significance of his contributions to Nigerian politics and his local community.As a highly respected leader, Senator Ewuga’s death marks a significant loss to Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large. His legacy as a dedicated public servant and politician will be remembered by many. The family, colleagues, and supporters are expected to gather and honor his memory during these ceremonies.
