Miss Ereke 2025 Pageant Celebrates Cultural Heritage and Female Empowerment in Ikenne Remo
The vibrant Miss Ereke 2025 pageant, held in Ikenne Remo, has once again showcased the rich cultural tapestry and youthful talent of the region’s young women. More than a beauty contest, the event served as a platform for empowering the girl child, encouraging participants to display their skills in music, dance, fashion, and other creative arts.
The four-day event, which took place from October 23rd to 26th, drew participants from across Ikenne. Eight contestants, all well-prepared and eager, engaged in rigorous training sessions that included traditional dance rehearsals, fashion displays, and runway practices to highlight their talents and cultural heritage.
The grand finale commenced at midnight Saturday October 25th through the early hours of Sunday October26th, creating an electrifying atmosphere with performances by popular artists such as Mr. Lemon Band, Akeju, DJ Kulet, and Mr. Triga. The event was hosted by MC Adaptor, who kept the audience entertained with humor and lively commentary. Esteemed judges and special guests in attendance included Ereke Festival President Otunba Ayomikun, Comrade Christopher, Miss Tolulope, Chief Barrister Modupe Jayeimi, and Planning Committee Chairman Asiwaju Adeyemi Ainabo.
Throughout the night, contestants displayed their inner and outer beauty, parading traditional attires and showcasing their talents. The outgoing Miss Ereke 2024 shared a heartfelt speech, recounting her journey to the crown after four prior attempts, and congratulated her successor while encouraging her to remain confident and dedicated.
In a rigorous question-and-answer session judged for intelligence and confidence, the winners were ultimately announced:
– Miss Orepitan Ayomide was crowned Miss Ereke 2025, earning the prestigious title and a prize of 2.5 million Naira.
– Miss Awobade Anuoluwapo was named first runner-up, receiving one million Naira.
– Miss Sonaike Aramide was named second runner-up, awarded half a million Naira.
As the event concluded, well-wishers flocked to take pictures with the new queen. In her acceptance speech, Miss Ereke 2025 pledged to promote good conduct and serve as an inspiration to young girls, embodying the event’s core mission of cultural pride and empowerment.
