The Collectives Club Presents Scholarship Cheques to Student Beneficiaries

The Collectives Club has formally awarded scholarship cheques to its latest cohort of student beneficiaries in a modest yet impactful ceremony aimed at fostering educational advancement and alleviating financial burdens on families.

 

The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Teju Ogunjimi, the general secretary of the Collectives Club, who extended greetings to the students, their parents, and school principals in attendance. Mr. Ogunjimi also introduced the Club’s members and reiterated their collective commitment to encouraging academic excellence and providing targeted support to deserving students.

 

During his remarks, Mr. Ogunjimi announced that each beneficiary would receive a total scholarship package of ₦250,000, to be disbursed in two installments. At the event, the students received the first installment of ₦100,000, with the remaining amount to be issued at a later date. He emphasized that the funds are designated specifically for tuition, textbooks, and school uniforms, urging parents to utilize them accordingly.

 

The presentation of the cheques was conducted by Engineer Kalejaiye, Chairman of the Anniversary Committee. One by one, the recipients stepped forward to collect their envelopes, marking a significant milestone in their educational pursuits.

 

Following the presentations, expressions of gratitude were shared. Mrs. Folashade Sotubo, Principal of Remo Divisional High School, delivered an appreciation speech on behalf of the school, commending the Club’s consistent support for students’ academic progress. A parent of one of the beneficiaries also expressed gratitude, highlighting the positive impact on their family’s financial situation. Additionally, two student recipients conveyed their excitement and pledged to make good use of the scholarship opportunity.

 

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Engineer Kalejaiye, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers, school officials, and families for their participation. He reaffirmed the Club’s ongoing commitment to educational development and community upliftment.

 

This scholarship presentation underscores the Collectives Club’s dedication to community development and its sustained efforts to empower students through meaningful educational support.
