Sagamu LG Chairman Calls for Unity, Responsible Celebrations at Christmas
The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has called on residents of the area to embrace love, unity and peaceful coexistence as Christians celebrate Christmas.
In a Christmas message to residents, Odulate described the season as a period that reflects the values of love, togetherness and peace, noting that the birth of Jesus Christ serves as a reminder that harmony starts within families and extends to the wider community.
He encouraged residents to use the festive period to reconnect with family members, friends, neighbours and acquaintances, stressing the importance of kindness, forgiveness and shared joy as the true essence of Christmas.
The chairman also appealed to residents to celebrate responsibly, placing emphasis on personal and public safety during the holidays. He advised residents to remain security conscious, avoid unnecessary risks and comply with traffic regulations while moving around during the festivities.
According to him, collective vigilance and consideration for others would help ensure a calm and peaceful Christmas season across communities in Sagamu.
Odulate expressed appreciation to residents for their support, cooperation and trust throughout the year, describing it as vital to the progress of the local government.
He wished residents a Merry Christmas and a restful holiday season, filled with peace, good health and renewed hope for the year ahead.
