Ogogo’s Family Holds 8th-Day Fidau Prayer in Ilaro
The family of late veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is holding an eighth-day Fidau prayer in his honour in Ilaro, Ogun State.
The prayer is part of the Islamic rites following the death of the veteran actor, who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66.
The family had earlier announced the Fidau prayer and expressed appreciation to fans, colleagues, friends and well-wishers for their support following the actor’s death and burial.
Ogogo was buried in his hometown, Ilaro, according to Islamic rites, on August 24, 2026.
The actor, who was widely recognised for his contributions to Yoruba-language cinema, was remembered by colleagues and members of the entertainment industry for his decades of service to Nollywood.
The family is also expected to honour his memory through subsequent commemorative activities as relatives, colleagues and well-wishers continue to pay tribute to the late actor.
