IKENNE LG NOTIFIES FIBIGBUWA RULING HOUSE ON RE-SELECTION PROCESS FOR NEXT ALAPERU OF IPERU
The Ikenne Local Government has officially notified the Fibigbuwa Ruling House of Iperu Remo of the commencement of the re-selection process for the next Alaperu of Iperu.
In a letter dated 21 September 2026, the Local Government granted approval for the ruling house to begin the process of nominating qualified candidate(s) from among its members.
The re-selection process is expected to be conducted during a family meeting, with the Secretary to the Local Government and other government officials serving as observers.
The ruling house has been given 14 days from 21 September 2026 to commence the selection process.
The development marks an important stage in the process of selecting the next Alaperu of Iperu, with stakeholders urged to uphold peace, unity, mutual understanding and respect throughout the process.
The Fibigbuwa Ruling House also extended its goodwill to the sons and daughters of Iperu at home and in the diaspora as the process gets underway.
