FAECO Launches Campaign for Remo Federal Constituency, Rallies Grassroots Support

The campaign to elect Honourable Funmi Efunwape, popularly known as FAECO, as member representing Remo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives officially kicked off with a call for unity and grassroots mobilisation.

The inaugural campaign event, which marked the formal commencement of her aspiration, brought together supporters, unit heads and grassroots leaders from across the constituency.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Efunwape appealed to members and supporters to give their full backing to her candidacy as preparations for the election gather momentum. She underscored the critical role of grassroots engagement in winning elections and charged all unit heads present to return to their respective wards and units to intensify mobilisation within their communities.

In a major boost to the campaign structure, the Remo federal constituency hopeful announced a financial contribution of ₦2.5 million to support grassroots activities and fundraising efforts. Under the pledge, Ikenne Local Government is to receive ₦1 million while Sagamu Local Government gets ₦1.5 million.

According to her, the gesture was aimed at encouraging the fundraising team and strengthening campaign operations at the local level, while reinforcing her message of collective participation.

The inaugural campaign not only signalled the official take-off of FAECO’s political activities but also provided a platform to engage directly with supporters and key campaign stakeholders on strategies ahead of the election.

With the campaign now underway, focus is expected to shift to intensive grassroots engagement, door-to-door mobilisation and sustained interaction with constituents across Remo Federal Constituency.
