Prince Taiwo Adenaike Emerges Alaperu-Elect After Deliberations in Iperu

Prince Taiwo Adenaike has emerged as the Alaperu-elect following deliberations among princes of the Fibigbuwa ruling house, after the death of HRH Oba Idowu Basibo, the Alaperu of Iperu.
The selection has drawn keen attention from residents, who have been awaiting the choice of the next traditional ruler to lead the community. The Alaperu is a prominent traditional institution in Iperu, and the succession process has been closely watched by people across the town.
Prince Adenaike was among six princes from the Fibigbuwa ruling house considered for the throne. The other contenders were Prince Adesina Wolabi Oyebanjo, Prince Jayeola Oso, Prince Olugbenga Awojesu, Prince Azeez Olatunji Folorunsho and Prince Jelili Junaid.
After a period of deliberation and public anticipation, Adenaike was selected as the Alaperu-elect. His emergence marks a significant step in the succession process following the passing of Oba Basibo.
The transition comes at an important moment for Iperu, as residents look to the incoming monarch to provide leadership and uphold the town’s customs and traditions.
While the announcement has brought an end to uncertainty over which candidate would emerge from the ruling house, the community’s attention is now likely to turn to the remaining stages of the process and the eventual presentation of the new monarch.
Prince Adenaike’s emergence follows the consideration of several princes, each representing the ruling house in the succession contest. His selection makes him the designated successor to Oba Basibo, pending the completion of the relevant traditional and official procedures.
