SAGAMU DAY: AKARIGBO OF REMO LAND LEADS PROCESSION TO ORISAGAMU EWA  

To mark the commemoration of the 2022 Sagamu day celebration, The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo land, HRM Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, led a procession to ORISAGAMU EWA, Makun, Sagamu Local Government Area Of Ogun state

ORISAGAMU EWA is beloved to be the source of Sagamu and a dwelling place for the deities of the land, and as it is customary the yearly celebration is kicked start with a visit to ancestral place of worship.

There the Akarigbo in company of other traditional chiefs and sagamites pay homage, offering sacrifices to the gods that have preserved and flourished their land.

This year’s Sagamu day celebration began on the 27th of October 2022, with the profession filing out of the Akarigbo’s palace as early as 7am
